The feast of OL of Mount Carmel in Brooklyn is fascinating because it reproduces to a smaller scale a similar feast in Nola, Italy. It is an interesting feast because the new gentrified hipsters in the neighborhood finds this type of event
rewarding and fulfills their need to feel that they live among ethnics.
