A few for Mothers' Day 5-9-10 Canon 10D

Happy Mother's Day. Enjoy the day.
All shots taken with the Canon 10D. No lens data available. Of course the fantastic Brooklyn Botanic Garden is the venue.

A few for today, 5-8-10 Nikon D 700

A perfect early evening in May at the Creek golf course on long Island. I was covering the Angels on the fairway event for the Futures in Education Foundation that hels disadvantaged children to afford Catholic schools. It was the right time of day. The lens was the amazing 28-1-5 F 3.5-5.5 Nikkor. An old pre digital lens that puts some of the newer ones allegedly made for digital capture to shame.

Photos of the day, 5-6-10 Olympus E 300

A memorable Saturday afternoon in June of 2005 with the Olympus E 300 and the 14-45
F3.5-5.6 lens. The place is the incomparable rose garden of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

Photo of the day, 5-5-10 Olympus E20

Sometimes I look back at what could be achieved with the early digicams and I'm awed. A mere 4 mega pixels and yet a spectacular landscape, if I may say so.

Photos for 5-4-10 Canon G9

The G series cameras are perfect travel cameras. These photos taken on May day of last year in Genova. Food products from local Ligurian farms. Great to photograph but even better to eat.

Pix for a gloomy monday: 5-3-10 Canon G 9

What would a Fourth of July Weekend be without a car show? So these were from a car show in Hamlin PA in 2008. All shot with the delightful G9 in plain JPEG without any manipulation. Straight photography is the best photography.

Photos for a Sunday, May 2., 2010 Nikon D70S

Some day you do not have to go far to take photographs. These are from my front yard.
The D70S with the 60mm F2.8 Micro Nikkor.
