One phenominal little girl / E PL-2
In Baltimore Harbor, while looking for a place to have lunch, we entered Jimmy;s a not very fancy luncheonette. Upon entering, we were greeted by this little girl who handed us the Menus and entertained us with her comments. Absolutely delightful.

Pranzo inaspettato / E PL-2
We went to Scopello near Castellammare where the sea boulders look a lot like Capri's. It was lunch time and all appeared closed. We entered the baglio, or the courtyard that housed all the old dwellings and saw Il baglio a restaurant that was open. f course we let the owner, a pleasant woman decide the menu for us. It began with a caponata that she had just made. Fantastic. I had the couscous with fish - this is the way couscous is prepared in Sicily- while my wifew had the pasta alle vongole veraci, a clam sauce that is simplicity itself. The secondo was a dish of misto fritto that we shared. It was realy a delicious and unexpected lunch. I must return here this summer.

Sotto il Ponte Scalzi E PL-2
A view taken from under the Ponte Scalzi. You got to love Italy. On the day we arrived, the coaches that run from the airport to Piazzale Roma not running because of a strike. On the second day, the vaporetti were on strike as part of a 24 hour national transportation strike but there was kimited service from the ferrovia, the RR station, to Rialto. Of course, there being a strike no one bothered with tickets so the ride was free. This shot is from just before the station and just after passing the Scalzi Bridge in late afternoon. Venice is just magical.

There was something right about the skin tones of the D 1-X. Only the Fuji S2-Pro did better. The Nikkor 35-135 F 3.5-4.5 was used.
