I love Paris

An example if a rather prosaic scene that due to the late afternoon light takes on an aspect of the surreal and becomes something 0f value to post.

Sunflower

This lovely sunflower is known as a volunteer because it grew all by itself in my garden.

Yes indeed; when I run out of ideas and images to post, I always go th the Paris images for inspiration. This street artist was working outside Notre Dame.

When one photo is enough

Among my many photos there are those that I deem to be good enough to stand alone in a post. I show these from time ti time. This classic shot if of the Castle of Venus in Erice. The small medieval town on the northwest corner of Sicily sits atop a mountain called Monte San Giuliano and  is  an absolute gem. Right on it's Eastern side jutting out of the mountain lies this beautiful castle.

Scopello

This lovely retreat west of Castellammare del Golfo  and part of it's territory was once an important tonnara or tuna fishing outfit. The water here is extremely clear, warm and welcoming. These photos were shot in April, before the summer tourist rush.

Have a delicious week

Old balcony

In Sicily there's no need for clothe dryers because one can dry clothes outdoor all year round. These photos were shot in November and are of a balcony in an old house that was about to be remodeled and modernized.
