Pretty clematis

These pretty clematis were shot in my backyard on a less than sunny day but this kind of light can give very romantic effects.

Winter dreams? Never

When it's hot as it is here in Sicily I get a momentary desire for winter. But it's only momentary because I hate winter. But good photos can be made then. Again, a wintry day at the Brooklyn Botanic, where else?

A few more greenhouse flowers

Once more a wintry day spent visiting the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. One of my favorite places on  Earth.

Jackson Heights, Queens, NYC

Of all the five boroughs of New York City, Queens has the greatest  ethnic diversity. it's a real pleasure living here. Jackson Heights is a large neighborhood that in itself is multi ethnic. Here is the Indian section where one can savor the different foods and unique items of this great culture. These photos were shot a few years ago on a Sunday afternoon with the Olympus E-20. You can almost smell the curry.

Too bad you cannot smell them

These fresh peaches I just purchased at my favorite farmer's market are absolutely superb. If you could taste or even smell them. Sorry!

Parigi mia caa

When all fails, just look at images shot in Paris and I can get something to post.

Breakfast

This morning I decided against my usual cappuccino andd iris at my favorite caffe' and decided instead on a traditional summer breakfast. Very healthy and rich in anti oxidants. Naturally made from all fresh ingredients. Even the bread was home baked. After i still went to the caffe' for my espresso. One must take this healthy food up to a point.

Have a sweet Sunday

May your Sunday be as sweet as these just picked  Sicilian plums.

Sicilian lemons

These fresh Sicilian lemons are a far cry from the apparently perfect ones found in your super market. First of all they are not necessarily yellow or better, uniformly yellow. This is usually the result of a chemical bath. You see, the part of the lemon facing the sun is the one that is yellow while the shaded part is usually more green. But even better, these non GMO or in no way  modified lemons are of different shades of yellow and green and are  not rind perfect. What is perfect and almost heavenly is their sublime flavor. The photo cannot do justice to this glorious emanation. Too bad.
