Luxuriant foliage

At this time of the year, the trees are luxuriant. They are at the peak of growth and rich and healthy. As the summer arrives with the hot days, the leaves begin to show stress and lose their luxuriant glow and beauty.

I love to photograph children but it's not as easy as  it appears. This is especially true on a job when  the children do not know you. Here we have a progression that proves the point.

I post many photos of flowers taken at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, my favorite place in New York. I want to post images of the garden itself. You must visit this place,

The county seat

All counties have their county seat but the really nice ones are the ones in the older counties where the court house used to be the center of bureaucratic life. This Court house is lovely and it's in Honesdale, PA, seat of  Wayne County. It has a lovely fountain and a statue commemorating those who fell during the war of secession. A very pleasant place to stop seat and enjoy the moment.

Two years ago we took a wonderful trip to Cape Cod and stayed at the Isaiah Junes Homestead. This is how breakfast was served. A really wonderful place where  authenticity and traditions are championed and preserved.
