A great lady

Her  name was Grace; she was my father in law's cousin  and lived in Washington DC that she simply called the District. An amazing lady that represented another age. These candid images were shot on Tri-X with a Leica M-4 and a 35mm Summicron F2 lens. It was back in 1970 and to me it feels as if it were yesterday.

The view from my studio

In the seventies, I had a studio at the Corner of 26th Street and Lexington Avenue in Manhattan. When I had nothing to do I enjoyed looking out of my window that did have a northern exposure. These images are of the north side of 26th Street. Today the area is totally gentrified.

Segesta, the temple

A wonderful Greek temple in the doric style that is noteworthy for it's lack of a cella, or an internal structure that was part of all other Greek temples. The reason for this is open to much speculation. No matter, it is well preserved as all Greek temples are in Sicily and along with the amphitheater it makes for a must place to visit. It is very close to Castellammare so every time someone visit I take a trip to Segesta.
