Views from my studio

In the good old days I had a studio on 26 Street and Lexington Avenue. This was a low rent district that has now become totally expensive and chic. Once the kids arrived I had to shu it down and worked out of my home. It was fun having it and I met many interesting people. When I had little to do, I took pictures out of my large window or made prints in my darkroom.

This image was made in Hudson, NY in morning light. I like the long shadows and the way the woman looks as she turns. Photography is simply capturing that elusive so called decisive moment. 

A courtyard in Paris

I love Paris almost as much as I love NY but not as much as I love my Sicily. Nevertheless we always have a great time in this superb city that has many personal and pleasant memories for us. This is a courtyard near Odeon and naturally, I photographed it after ignoring many times. We used to pass it a few times per day while going back and forth to and from our hotel. Fun for the kids

Most of the so called pumpkin patches are not real but the kids have fun anyway. I took my kids countless times and we all had lots of fun. I miss those days.
