Siracuse
The island of Ortigia, is the oldest part of Siracuse. It has the famous Fountain of Aretusa that is a water source, that although very close to the seashore, brings forth fresh water. There are mythological explations outside the scope of this blog. But it's afe to say that about half of classical Greek mythology has to do with Sicily. The Odyssey comes to mind as the clearest example.
Here we see a small street decorated with the "nasse" that fisherman used to do some special kind of fishing. As usual, the camera is the Canon G 11.

There was something right about the skin tones of the D 1-X. Only the Fuji S2-Pro did better. The Nikkor 35-135 F 3.5-4.5 was used.
