Sicilian vegetation / Vegetazione sicula
Observing these photos all shot with the Canon G-9, it is interesting to note that Sicily sports a great variety vegetation. Cactus pears next to olives that are next to palm trees that are next to lemons. It is a paradise of sorts as the growing season is 12 month long and all the plants that have been introduced here appear to do better than on their native soil. A sort of deracination in reverse.
Un deracine' all'opposto.
