My wife Marcy, very talented in her own right, gets outstanding results with her Canon G-9. Of course the camera doesn't take the photo. I'm only using this as an example that in the hands of a competent photographer any camera can rise to the occasion. These two silhouettes shot in Juniper Valley Park in Queens, prove my statement. I wish she shot more photos.
