This splendid Doric temple is noted for the fact that it doesn't have a cella,
a square structure inside. It is of note also the fact that is
splendidly well preserved as are most Greek ruins in Sicily except for
Selinunte because it was destroyed by Carthage in the fifth millennium
B.C. I do not use the annoying politically correct before or after
common era that I find totally reprehensible.
Again, the afternoon
light was nice and warm. I entered after closing time so it was
mercifully free of tourists. How I achieved this is a story for another
day.
Greetings, this blog is dedicated to my life in photography and my passion for good Italian food.. I want to make this a place to stop and relax. In the hope that this will provide some respite and peace. Thank you for visiting.
