The 55mm F 3.5 Micro Nikkor was one of the finest lenses that Nikon made. I used it to do all sort of archival work and for pleasure shots and it earned me a lot of money. I finally replaced it with the 60mm F 2.8 auto focus Micro Nikkor but it didn't have the magic of the old one. These
photos were all shot on Kodachrome II with a speed of only 25. The lens
was mounted on a Nikon Ftn.
