When they settled in the States, Italians naturally brought over their culture. One important element is la festa, the feast. Usually these feasts were to celebrate a saint or the Madonna. One of the best known in New York, other than the San Gennaro Feast in Manhattan, is the one in South Brooklyn at our Lady of Mount Carmel. These shots are from a projects on these neighborhood feasts that I made in the eighties for an Italian client.
Greetings, this blog is dedicated to my life in photography and my passion for good Italian food.. I want to make this a place to stop and relax. In the hope that this will provide some respite and peace. Thank you for visiting.
