The Truro winery

Being in my beloved Sicily at the moment and in the province of Trapani, the most vinified [to make up a word] region in the whole EU - this is where Marsala comes from and where the large Alcamo wine region is and no matter where you look one sees grapes -  I am always fascinated with the wine growing regions in the States. I was very touched when I first saw grapes in Long Island and have seen other great regions such as those in Oregon etc. The Truro winery in Cape Cod is really very interesting because it attempts to grow grapes there. The young woman who gave us a tasting did say that much of the grapes come from other regions. Nevertheless the wines were pleasant and the rose was quiet good. As we say in New York, go figure.
