This year our spring trip to Italy was not to be and it appears that the summer trip will be put on hold. This image is from a few springs ago and depicts this wonderful castle below the hamlet of Erice atop Mount San Giuliano on the north western tit of Sicily. The castle, named Castello di Venere, Castle of Venus, has been renovated and is accessible to visitors. Just wonderful.
