During the month of July, there are many street feasts in the Italian neighborhoods in New York. These are traditions carried over by the throngs of immigrants who came over during the beginning of the last century. They have a religious theme because the patron saint of a tow is usually celebrated. They have become a tradition in the city and are enjoyed by all no matter what ethnic group. The man with the sausages was called the king of the sausage and peppers sandwiches that are one of the main street food items along with the ubiquitous fried zeppole that aren't the lightest items to digest. At any rate, these feasts are lots of fun.
