Eating in Sicily


Before I go out to a caffe' or my cornetto and cappuccino, I eat a simple but healthy salad using all local ingredients. Fresh tomatoes and basil, olives that are to die for plus sliced incanestrato the king of Sicilian pecorino cheeses. The olive oil is from one of my dear neighbors with a nose and flavor that puts all the trendy extra virgins to shame.
