Shrimp deep fried in pastella, Italian for batter. This was a simple pastella consisting of all purpose flour, half juice of a lemon, s teaspoon of baking soda and water. The batter must be stirred in the same direction or else it will form lumps. Place the shrimp in the batter and fry in corn oil with a little regular olive oil. The magis is done. I used steamed broccoli as my contorno or side dish. delightful.
