The majestic Verrazano Narrows Bridge connecting Brooklyn with Staten Island in NYC. It is named after Giovanni da Verrazzano, the Italian explorer who discovered NY Harbor. The correct spelling of the name is Verrazzano. The family has been making great Chianti for about one thousand years and the castle is still there and it's a great agri turismo site in the town of Pieve in Chianti, Tuscany. We have been there many times and have posted several photos of this enchanting place. Back to the bridge, it is truly majestic and offers the very first classic view of this great city even before one sights the Statue of Liberty and the skyscrapers. What a sight.
