This striking image dates from the middle seventies when I was mainly shooting politicians. Jose Serrano was at the time running for the NYS assembly (he is currently In Congress) and was meeting with various community groups in The Bronx. I shot it with a Leica M2 R with the wonderful 50mm Summicron on Kodak Tri-X. This is one of my favorite images from that and needless to say the candidate won.
