The feast

Italians brought to these shores the tradition of the town feasts. These are mostly associated with a patron saint and a church. These images are from the Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Brooklyn. They are fun and if you have a steel belted stomach, the food is digestible. It's a far cry from good Italian food but it's all for having a good time.

Fun lens




These summertime  images from the Feast of Mount Carmel Feast in Brooklyn were shot with the Tokina 11-18mm semi fish eye zoom. The images are non corrected for linear distortion so the resultant shots are wild. At times one must let it all hang out and just have fun with the camera otherwise what's the point. One must be careful how the camera is held but the result can be great fun.
