We take catus pears seriously in Sicily. These were on sale at a fruit and vegetables store in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy. Although these originated in the New World, the ones grown in Sicily are truly exquisite.
Greetings, this blog is dedicated to my life in photography and my passion for good Italian food.. I want to make this a place to stop and relax. In the hope that this will provide some respite and peace. Thank you for visiting.

Cactus pears
Although originally from the New World, cactus pears have become emblematic of the Sicilian landscape. These are very early digital images with the Fuji S1-Pro, my first serious digital camera with which I shot jobs. I'm still in awe of that incredible 3.4 mega pixels sensor who outputted very saturated colors that reminded me of the old Kodachrome II slide film.
