 This is the top expression of Sicilian sweets, la cassata siciliana or Sicilian cassata. The best known Italian sweets are cannoli and cassata; both Sicilian. This cake is a true masterpiece but a shot of insulin should be taken before eating it. Wonderful eaten in moderation and nice to photograph.
