Penne frigate Italiane with potato and sausage. Pasta e patate is a stateple of the so-called cucina pavera or poor cuisine just like pasta e fagioli. I enr.iched it bt adding sausage for a richer flavor and a more nutritious one. Delicious.

 A marriage made in culinary heaven: pasta with broccoli and sausage. What else can I say. Just delicious. To enhance the flavor, I added a drop of tomato paste and sprinkled pecorino after the heat was off and it got amalgamated. 

 In Italian households lenticchje e salsiccia or lentils and sausage is a most have New Year's eve dish along with fried baccala.
