Another archival photo dating back to the summer of 1969. These are the doors of the baptistry, a separate octagonal structure next to Florence's Duomo church. Many artists contributed to the structure but these bronze divine doors were designed and cast by Lorenzi Ghiberti. This was originally shot on Agfachrome but it had turned violet so I converted it to black and white. The camera was a Canon FT with the superb 50mm F 1.4 prime FL lens that came with the camera. Try to get such a lens standard on a camera today.
