DUMBO

DUMBO is an acronym denoting the area under the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. It was an old industrial area that became abandoned but today it's very fashionable and gentrified. These images date from the late nineties before it changed. They were shot in medium format Ektachrome 100.

DUMBO

The Dumbo area under the Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn has undergone  incredible gentrification as it can only happen in New York. These are photos that pre-date this drastic change.

DUMBO

What was once an industrial and very ugly area, has now been renamed DUMBO and has been hipsterized and gentrified. These shots are from the time the area had barely become as hip as it appears to be now. The camera was the Fuji S1-pro with the Sigma 15-30mm zoom.

Italian spaghetti with peas, asparagus and pancetta in alight butter sauce. Delicious for lunch.
