As I have stated previously this time of the year finds me in a sentimental mood wondering where time has gone and how quickly it has passed. This little then girl was taking part of the Gion festival in Kyoto, Japan. I used my Canon FT with the standard 50 mm F 1.4 FL Canon lens and good old Kodak Tri-X. It seems like just yesterday. She is probably a grand mother now.

     This is not Kyoto but a replica of its famous pebbles garden that was in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden but was razed in order to make a ridiculous children's garden that is hardly ever used. But I shot this image in the early seventies with a Nikon FTn and the 50mm F 1,$ Nikkor lens. The film was Ektachrome-X.

These two images shot in Kyoto, Japan, date from  June of 1971 ans were shot with the Canon FT and the Canon 50mm F 1.4 FL lens. The film was Fuji 200 B&W that I was trying out. It never was as good as Tri-X.
