The Isola San Giulio in l"ago D'Orta - Lake Orts - in Piedmont, Italy. This is the smallest of the Italian large lakes but it's one of the prettiest. This island is an ancient monastery.

Il Lago D'Orta

The Lago D'Orta in Piedmont, Italy, is the smallest of the three most famous Italian Lakes : Lago di Como, Lago di Garda and Lago Maggiore. Nevertheless it's a very beautiful lake with a superb Lungo lago or lake shore. There is also the lovely town of Orta with it's narrow streets and alleys. There's also a plethora of wonderful places to eat.

Lago D'Orta

This is the smallest of the famed Italian lakes in northern Italy i.e. Lake Como, Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore. However it is truly beautiful and not over developed. The town of Orta is a charming  place worth a visit.

Lago D'Orta

This is the smallest of the famous northern lakes of Italy. It is situated in Piemonte  and it is absolutely enchanting. This region is famous for the profusion of wisteria plants that luckily were at their peak when we visited.
