No tripod, no problem
I do not like to carry tripods as I was thought to hold cameras steady especially my Leicas but there are times that one cannot hold it if a time exposure is needed. What to do. There are substitute tripods all over. This shot of Mystic , Connecticut was shot by placing the camera atop the railing on the bridge and holding it down with hand pressure. It took a 4 seconds exposure but there's no movement. No tripod, no problem.
