I just wish

A yacht pier in Newport Rhode Island. A beautiful craft but a little outside my disposable income budget.

Some first day of spring

Winter refuses to let go. This is what the first day of spring looks like in the NY area. What can I say.

Saint Augustine, Florida

After resisting visiting Florida, it was love at first sight. This is especially true for Saint Augustine. This very old city offers great Latin charm and food along with wonderful people and very pleasant vistas. Got to go back.

in honor of Chinese New Year

These are also out of camera JPEGS from my old Fuji S-2 Pro. It had an uncanny ability to reproduce excellent skin tones as long as the exposure was right on.

Full moon over East River bridges

This is s a straight shot, no Photoshop. It was a full moon in October a few years ago and I was shooting an event at Harbor Lights at the South  Street Seaport. That same night, there was a lunar eclipse.

No tripod, no problem

I do not like to carry tripods as I was thought to hold cameras steady especially my Leicas but there are times that one cannot hold it if a time exposure is needed. What to do. There are substitute tripods all over. This shot of Mystic , Connecticut was shot by placing the camera atop the railing on the bridge and holding it down with hand pressure. It took a  4 seconds exposure but there's no movement. No tripod, no problem.

They are fading fast. Lets enjoy them while they last.
