The Saint Anthony's feast held yearly in June on Sullivan Street, Manhattan. An interesting combination of old timers and near by Greenwich Village hipsters. Of Course there the ineluctable procession with the Statue accompanied by a band and the money collected and pinned on the Saint's scarfs. Very colorful This is a vintage shot made with my Leica M-4 and good old Kodak Tri-X a superb combination that allowed m.e to get close and personal with my subjects.

Vintage feast photos

The Saint Anthony's Feast in Sullivan Street in  Manhattan's SOHO district is coming to a close this weekend. A great place to go for good shots. These two images date from early seventies and were shot with a Leica M4 with the 35mm Summicron f2 on Tri-X Pan.

St. Anthony's Feast

Here are two archival shots dating to circa 1974 of the Feast of St. Anthony on Sullivan Street in Manhattan. They were shot on Kodak Tri-X with the Leica M-4 and the sublime Summicron F 2 35mm lens. I developed in Kodak D-76 in 1:1 dilution for 8 minutes at 20 degrees Celsius. Oh yes...I remember it well!

Looks like the last of the foliage here in North East Pennsylvania. Too bad, winter is just around the corner.
