Finally a seasonal post

Although it's really still rather cool, it is spring so we most post flowers. These are from the backyard.

It should look like this, soon...we hope

Hopefully the cold weather will cease and delightful summer days will follow. As for spring, I'm not very hopeful this year. We shall see.

Back to the backyard

On a cold and dreary day in late spring, a trip to the backyard can at least result in some images that I can post.

. I hope that soon, my backyard will have flowers again.

Have a great week end

I was just having some fun on a rainy spring day with my Canon 1D III and the Sigma 50mm F2.6 Macro. Just in my back yard. Sometimes you do not have to roam very far.

Just a walk in the old center city in search for a place to eat and these are two of the resulting images.

New York Is a Summer Festival

Perhaps you are too young to remember this popular phrase  that New York City used to use in it's ad campaigns. but it truly is.

These were my first shots right after a bought the Panasonic Lumix  LX-3 that my daughter now has. I just went from Adorama  on 18 Street to Washington Square Park and started shooting. It was a lovely July Sunday in New York.

From the back yard / Canon 1-D III

Someday just a walk in the back yard garden can yield pleasant results. This is especially true  on a cloudy spring day when colors become saturated and when the light is low and one can has to use wider aperture settings to get nice blurry backgrounds. I hope that these will brighten you week and make you dream of spring.

Looks like the last of the foliage here in North East Pennsylvania. Too bad, winter is just around the corner.
