 It's rather odd but blue flowers are quite rare in nature. This macro is an early digital shot with a DSLR and a macro lens. BTW, winter is almost two thirds gone. There's light at the end of the tunnell.

 These are cows grazing in a field of wild flowers. they look like they are swimming. 

 Wishful thinking. Winter has not even arrived and I'm thinking about spring and lovely roses. 

Woods in Kentucky shot on Kodachrome 25, the successor of the great and lamented Kodachrome II. It was a nice film but it could not compete with the prior version. Kodak cited environmental issues but I never believed them. My opinion that this move started Kodak's eventual demise. At thr same time ti introduced their T-Max black and white films that were to my professional opinion inferior to Tri-X and Plus-X. But their biggest offense was the discontinuing of that threat Panatomic-X. A real sin. Go figure
 

 This geranium is doing its best to fight the elements. I will bring him in soon so he can survive another winter.

I consider this image one of my most successful and satisfying autumnal Image. It was shot with a Fuji  S1 Pro with a mere 3.4 megapixels sensor mounted on a modified, cheap Nikon camera. However, it had colors of such beauty that mimicked Kodachrome. The place was North East Pennsylvania.   

 Looking back at summer. I miss you already.

 I have raved about Anscochrome 64 later GAF Chrome 64 on many occasions. Naturally the go to slide film was Kodachrome for its brilliant super colorful rendition but good old Ansco had a romantic and lush hues that captured the imagination. This slide was shot at the NY Botanical Garden in The Bronx in the early seventies and there was no manipulation. Just wonderful.

 Summertime. How I miss Kodachrome II. Shot in the early seventies with a Nikon F, the superb 55mm F 3.5 Micro Nikkor lens on Kodak Kodachrome II. What else c I dd.

Whose woods these are, I think I know..........

Woods with birch trees shot upstate NY with a Rolleiflex and Kodak TRI-X Pan. Very peaceful.
