Back to the present

Being involved in digitizing my photo archive, I constantly find photos that I want to share. But this time I will post photos just shot yesterday morning while taking my dog for his walk. The early light is magical and complements the autumnal foliage creating stunning images. It's all about the right light.

Farewell to fall

Here in the North Eastern section of the USA  fall has ended and with it's passage goes the glory that is typical of  autumns in this region. Too bad; it goes really fast. It is very hard to capture it at it's peak, but I try to do it every fall without ever tiring. Now the weather has turned cold, windy and wintry and actually horrid. But that is nature's way; with it's ineluctable cycles without which we would all be bored to tears.

And to those visitors from the southern hemisphere, enjoy your spring and summer.

A walk in the park, again

Waiting for rain and on a cloudy day, one can find many photo ops close to home.  The lack of sun can make colors, especially autumnal ones stand out. This is again Juniper Valley Park, very close to home and, BTW, my dogs favorite morning stomp.

You don't have to roam far

If you have an appreciation and an understanding  of "the light" you can find interesting shots close to home. These are all from afternoon walks with my impatient dog in Juniper Valley Park. The photos are all out there, just waiting to be taken.

Fall colors

I just returned to North East Pennsylvania where I shot the dying of the foliage, sort of. But the colors are still engaging. I used the Olympus EPL-2 with the Lumix G Vario 14-45.

The splendor of fall

These photos shot barely outside my home in North Eastern Pennsylvania show how wonderful the fall is in that part of the country. It's all gone now, alas.

North Eastern Fall / Autunno nel nord est degli States

There's no more beautiful sight than the fall foliage in the north eastern part of the States. The vivid  colors contrasting with the blue skies create a photographer's paradise. There's no other place where this colorful display takes place.

Credo che non esista un ambiente piu' bello del fogliame autunnale nel nord est degli States. Colori vividi si contrastano con cieli azzurri creando un vera estasi per un fotografo.
