Beauty among the ruins

Shot in Selinunte Sicily on a very hot day. I like the way the subject arches  along with the olive tree forming a coherent circle. Selinunte was razed by Carthage in one of the Punic wars. It's all ruins and pieces of monuments strewn on the ground. some have been partially reconstructed but it's a very complicated jigsaw puzzle.

Some candid portraits / Canon 5-D

These were shot back in 2006 at a graduation preparing Montessori teachers, a program run by Catholic Charities, my client. Shot just with a flash mounted on a Stroboframe.

The old and the new. Manhattan lower west side shot from the High Line.
