Red camellia
The planting Fields Arboretum on long Island's north shore has a magnificent greenhouse exclusively for camellias. Alas it's closed because of this infernal pandemic. I hope things can get back to normal soon.

Flowers to lift up your spirits
These early spring flowers were shot at the Planting Fields Arboretum in Long Island, NY. Once a private estate, it's now a state park and a very beautiful one. It's greenhouses are magnificent and the grounds are very well kept. A really nice place to go and relax. Unfortunately, like everything els, it's closed at the present time

Temporary escape from winter
To do so there are many green houses to go to. One of my favorites is the camellia green house at the Planting Fields Arboretum on Long Island's north shore. It is absolutely fabulous and at this time the camellias are in full bloom. Also one can enjoy an endless variety of these wonderful flowers. There also are other wonderful greenhouses in this garden so for a brief time one can escape the winter.
