An archival Ektachrome shot way back in the summer of 1969, in Pompey, Italy during my first visit there. It is definitively a bucket list site.

Atlantic City, NJ,  fall of 1976 when America was celebrating her 50th anniversary and before the casinos. It was a time of urban decay that the coming casinos never improved.

Coney Island, Brooklyn, off season shot with a Nikon F and a Spiratone fish eye lens. Spiratone was an outfit that created unique gadgets at very reasonable prices. It had one store on 32 St. Manhattan and another on Northern Bld,. Queens. Truly fascinating stores. The film was Ektachrome.

Boy did I love my first medium format camera, a Yashikamat 124. Coney Island April of 1975 using Ektachrome 120 film. The colors and resolution are just superb. I had many more 120 format cameras such as the Yashikamat 124-2, a Minolta Rolleicord, a Koni-Omega, Mamyias of various kinds and finally a couple Rolleis including the one used by my dear mentor and teacher, Josef Breitenbach that I treasure like no other camera. Yes indeed, I loved this format.

One of my first attempts at taking photos instead of snapshots. Back in early 1968, upstate NY with my first SLR, A KOWA SETR camera with a leaf shutter. It was not a bad camera but I soon change it for my first real SLR, a Canon FT. The film was Ektachrome X. Slowly I began to realize that I was on the right track.

A view of Scopello, Sicily. Shot  in August 1972, with a Canon FT and the 50mm F 1.4 FL lens. The film was Kodak Ektachrome X with an ASA of 64. This film had a characteristic blue cast that I did not edit out in Photoshop. I sort of like it.

This is a medium format shot taken with my first 120 camera, a Yashika 124; shot on Ektachrome of a building on east 23rd Street while I was going to my photo studio on 32nd and Lexington in Manhattan. I like the composition. BTW, the area has become totally gentrified now.
