One of the most delicious so called salva cena or dinner savior I ever prepared. Penne rigate with canned tuna in olive oil, shredded zucchine and tomatoes. Absolutely delicious.
 

                               Italian pappardelle in a light tuna and tomato sauce. Very tasty.

 Spaghetti con tonno al limone. Spaghetti with tuna and lemon. As long as there's a can of good tuna fish, an organic lemon and good EVO the magic is done. A great dish but because of possible mercury pollution this dish should not be eaten too often. 

 A wonderful pasta dish. Spaghetti with canned tuna and onions as the main ingredients and the addition of pomodorini to add a little acidity and snap. To close the dish I added a sprinkle of oregano and basil leaves. Very good to eat and to photograph.

Farfalle

 A wonderful dish.Basically the traditional pasta with zucchine and tuna but I added a pesto of zuchine and the sesults were really mouth watering. I used farfalle because they have a tendency to keep their al dente quality very important if there are leftoves.

Spaghetti al tonno. Nothing can be simpler than this dish. Perfect when I'm i a hurry and run out of ideas an what to cook for lunch. 

 Sometimes you must use what you have. Some pomodorini, canned tuna, good EVO and the dish is made. A little imagination can go a long way in the kitchen.

 Spaghetti with canned tuna, great olive oil, some lemon rinds and a little lemon juice. Simplicity to the max. Delizioso

 This is an unusual combination of pasta e fagioli and canned tuna. I got it from an Italian food site. I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful results.

 

        EATING IN SICILY

        Linguine with zucchine and Italian canned tuna. A match made in heaven. The zucchine were the freshet and the tuna was of the highest quality.  What else can I say.
