Vintage street photography
Cartier Bresson when asked why he never used a telephoto answered by saying that he needed a long lens it meant that he was far away. I despise those who do street photography sniping away with long lenses. Afraid to get close to their subjects. In effect being very insensitive and cowardly. The way a subjects reacts to you is of great importance. You ask permission that is usually granted and you do not shoot if the subject objects. This crates a bond that always leads to better shots. These images are from the early seventies in Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. This is still the heart of the city and is where one meets very interesting people to photograph.
