Have a delicious weekend

Where you least expect

Photos are all over; just keep your eyes open. The Newtown Creek is one of the most polluted body of water anywhere. Nevertheless, right under I 495, I noted this very colorful building that contrasted with the brownish water of the creek. Go figure.

Union Aquare

This historic Manhattan square has always been the premiere place for demonstrations. This was a few days after the 9-11 attack on the World Trade Center. As is customary in this blog. There are no political views expressed.

Essex Connecticut, Rail ad Steam Museum

A very worthy place to visit especially to those who love old trains. A dedicate staff keeps te trains running. The art of steam engine maintenance is a dying art.

Lancaster County, PA

This is one of the most fascinating place to visit. Although the main roads are full of outlets and make believe Pennsylvania Dutch stores and restaurants, o small detour will lead to the real Amish country. Here we see a young boy plowing a field with a team of horses and doing quite a good job. An area that is frozen in time surrounded by the ever expanding modern world. I wonder how long they will be able to keep their traditions.

A quiet moment

This semi fish eye shot was taken in Greenport, NY. Two people relaxing looking at the water. Nothing attracts like the sea.
