Simple advice

To paraphrase: we'll always have Venice

Image
Sometimes it's hard to find images especially during this difficult time. So I find an image of Venice to post.

Spring

Image
Spring arrived in the northern hemisphere the earliest in 124 years. Glad it's here and we welcome it wholeheartedly.

Happy Saint Joseph day

Image
This is the famous sfingia di San Giuseppe that can only be appreciated in Sicily. I had this at the Bar 200 in Castellammare del Golfo. Tasting the Sicilian ricotta made from sheep's milk made my taste buds dance a tarantella. This must not be confused with the zeppola di San Giuseppe, a Neapolitan delicacy that is made with custard cream. Buana festa di San Giuseppe a tutti.

I My anti virus breakfast. Before this , I have drunk my aloe vera and taken my omega three tablet along with a chew able vitamin C 500 mg. I will take more as the day progresses. A few almonds and other nuts. The tea is made up of ginger water, green tea, turmeric, ground cinnamon and raw honey and bay leaves. I also chew a few whole cloves. The glass has carrot juice. The avocado is sprinkled with cayenne pepper, lemon juice and olive oil. My oatmeal has olive oil and black pepper to facilitate the absorption of the turmeric. Bread and butter because the boy needs some fats. Then strawberries with a little honey. I share the toast with my dog and my new cats likes butter. It takes me about 15 min. to prepare but where am I going. After breakfast I take other vitamins such ad Vitamin D, B 12 etc. Just trying to stay ahead of the virus.

For relaxation

Image
I always wanted this blog to be a place to stop to relax as you surf the web. This is especially true these days of Covid-19 worries. I hope you are well. Take care of yourselves.

Stay safe

It's Impossible to find any at the stores so make your own. Here's how to make your own hand sanitizer:   2/3 cup of rubbing alcohol at least 60%  (70% is better)  Add 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel (you can ma your own from fresh aloe vera) a few drops of essential oil for fragrance (optional) Mix well  Put in a small spray bottle or empty liquid soap container. Label it.

Relax do not worry stay safe and ignore the gloom and doom

Soon it will get better. Stop watching CNN and the so called mainstream media because they believe that panic sells and ratings go up. Read a good book. Listen to some good music and cook great food. We will survive if we are careful and considerate of others. And most of all beware the ides of March

Have a wonderful week in spite of it all
