These images where shot with a Rolleiffex on 120 size Tri-X Pan Professional film, The location is upstate New York and the period was the mid eighties.

When I ave difficulties in finding what to post there's always Venice to the rescue. He the late afternoon light is very special.

Siena's cathedral was started by Giovanni Pisano in 1284. He left the project in 1296. Other architects finished the church. Among them was Giovanni Cecco who began the top structure in 1376. The statues and figures on the facade are from Pisano and his helpers and depict philosophers, prophets and apostles. This is an example of Italian Gothic architecture.

These two images from the mid seventies  in downtown Manhattan, NYC ,shoe a condition that is sadly still present in this great and wealthy urban area, A lot has been done and a lot if money has been spent but the problem remains.

 These photos of a tourist shop selling mementos is actually a sad development. These stores all sell the same items to the throngs of tourists that change a place from a once real place to a present imaginare=y and unreal one. Very sad.
