A man and his horse

These are also from the old ceremonial carts parade held for the feast. This man had a look that had to be captured.

Have a glorious weekend

Soon it will look this glorious in these parts of the world as fall shows it's lovely colors.

Street show

Image
Paris is always alive and there are many street shows. These are from one of such events on a Saturday afternoon. With use of a camera with very little shutter lag and with timing, I was able to capture the action at the peak of interest. Not too shabby for an old guy.

late summer light

I like the way the late summer light plays with the trees and ground moss. It will be fall soon and then a more colorful but ephemeral stage will await  photographers and nature lovers.

Paris, night shots

Image
Paris is very much alive at night when the cafe's and restaurants are full. These were shot early in the evening before it got very crowded.

Lovely girl with dog

Image
These images of this lovely Sicilian young woman with her dog were all shot at night under new LED street  lights. They provide a nice warm glow but are not too warm as the old fashioned incandescent nor do they give the green cast of florescents. There's a natural beauty here that is very common in Sicilian woman. It's probably due to our very complex DNA. We Sicilians have  multiculturalism in our genes.

Real people

Image
Although I have decried the move toward tourism and it's inevitable concomitant artificiality, there are still real people here in Sicily who are still carrying the torch of authenticity. These images are of old carters with their traditional Sicilian carts that were on parade on occasion of the town's feast.
