     Another image from the seventies of the Saint Anthony's feast on Sullivan Street downtown Manhattan. Italian Americans celebrate teir patron sainta with street festiv;s that must include a procession with the saint's statue.

     This so called fritto misto was seerved at a Restaurant in Scopello a sea shore hmlet in the territory of Castellammare del Golfo. Needless to sy the sea food was absolutely delicious because it was super fresh and the Mediterranean Sea produces super tsty sea food. There's nothing wrong with the red chammel. that was the true color of the shrimps, What else cn I add.

        Tagliatelle with sausage and mushrooms, A typical autumnal dish in Italian households. It's simply delicious.

          A scene from  the Finger Lakes area in upstate NY. The camera was the Nikon  FTn with the Nikkor 35nn F 2,8. The film was Ektachrome X that faded a little, but the image shot way back in 1973 is still powerful in my humble opinion.

           I just love this image of a tired news seller with his sigarette and hid angry look. Shot with a Canon Ft and the 50mm Canon FL 1,4 lens, One of my favorite images of my street photography.

     Eating in Sicily is a seriously delicious affair.  These are grilled calamari, super fresh at the La Cambusa restaurant at the tourist port in Castellammare del Golfo.

           This simple dish is made with so called  pachini that are pomodorini grown in the town pf Pachino in southern Sicily. They are prized and considered the best and tastiest pomodorini. Here I made a quick lunch meal with a clove of garlic, great Sicilian olive oil and pomodorini pachini. Delicious.

      One of the simplest dishes in Italian cuisineSpaghetti garlic and oil. With the right ingredient this can be a  delicious, fast and economic dish perfect when one has sudden guests.

       You only need a little fantasy in the kitchen. Here are to  recepies made into one. Spaghetti with. zucchini pesto and  spaghetti with zucchine. A wonderful combination made better by the addition of ricotta.

           EATING IN SICILY         Linguine with zucchine and Italian canned tuna. A match made in heaven. The zucchine were the freshet and the tuna was of the highest quality.  What else can I say.

          Remembering my beloved  Louisiana Catahoula  leopard dog who passed away more that a year ago. He filled mt heart with immense joy for 15 years but left me with happy memories. I miss him every day.

            Spaghetti with creamed zucchine topped with fried zucchine. A delightful variation on pasta all nerano. Delicious.

               This is a medium format shot taken with my first 120 camera, a Yashika 124; shot on Ektachrome of a building on east 23rd Street while I was going to my photo studio on 32nd and Lexington in Manhattan. I like the composition. BTW, the area has become totally gentrified now.
