Photo of the day, March 16, 20010 Cnon 5D II
This beautiful young lady played the role of the Madonna in a St. Joseph Table celebration. This is an old Sicilian tradition that is too complicated to explain well. As an Ex voto a person wishing for the intercession of St. Joseph, would promise to make the St. Joseph Table. A poor family would be invited and they were in fact the Holy Family and they would enjoy a very long and complex meal that would satiate them completely. It was also a big neighborhood and family event. This re-enactment took place in Queens and was sponsored by several Italian organizations.
The 5DII has the 24-105 F4 L Canon lens.
