In July of 1992 there was an operation OP sail to celerate the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America. Amerigo Vespucci was the Italian explorer whose first name was used to coin the name America. The Italian Navy has a tall training ship named Amerigo Vespucci that led the festivities and was featured prominently. It is a beautiful ship and it made for nice images. I had misplaced the color negatives but found and scanned them so I want to share a few.

There was something right about the skin tones of the D 1-X. Only the Fuji S2-Pro did better. The Nikkor 35-135 F 3.5-4.5 was used.
