A late breakfast / Nikon D-700
That is the late breakfast that awaits me in Sicily. After the usual cappuccino and cornetto, and before lunch, I usually make myself this dish. Bread on the bottom sprinkled with sea salt and olive oil; the tomatoes and basil go on top with the olives and cheese on the side or also on top. This dish, if used as lunch can benefit from a good Italian tuna fish placed below the tomatoes and basil. Delicious and healthful.
The lens was the superb Nikkor 28-105 F 3.5-4.5. An old "non digital" lens that works better than most so called "digital ready" lenses that are made with too much plastic for my taste.

Riserva Lo Zingaro / Canon G-11
The Lo Zingaro natural reserve, west of Castellammare and adjacent to Scopello, is a pristine and protected area that includes a large area of land with its littoral. It can only by accessed by walking and by boats that are to be kept away about one hundred meters. One may swim to the shore. It is the way that area used to be when mainly fishermen used to cast their nets.

There was something right about the skin tones of the D 1-X. Only the Fuji S2-Pro did better. The Nikkor 35-135 F 3.5-4.5 was used.
