One great photographer in the making / Leica M-4

Image
Yes indeed, an early photo of the future superb and competent not to mention creative photographer. If I am a little prejudiced it's because she is my dear daughter Jennifer who has blossomed into a superb person and a great photographer. She always liked to come into the dark room and observe me work under the safe light. She always liked to carry a camera. This shot was made on Kodachrome 25. The lens was the 50mm Summicron F 2. She is carrying a Nikon Ftn with a Nikkor 50 mm F 1.4 lens.

More great faces / Canon 1D III

A few more from the Futures in Education event. These were shot with the Canon 70-200 F 4 L.

Ortygia [Siracusa] / Canon G-11

Image
Yes indeed, Ortygia, the original part of Siracusa where Archimedes used to play; perhaps under this same arch. One of the most wonderful cities in Sicily and all of Italy. A true gem.

Great faces / Canon D1 III

Some of the children I shot tonight at a fund raising event for the Futures in Education Foundation. This organization provides needy children with scholarships so that they may attend Catholic Schools. The place was the Waldorf Astoria. The lens was the 24-105 F 4 Canon L.

An unique tradition / Nikon D-200

It is always fun to watch tourists and pigeons in Piazza San Marco in Venice. One euro will buy you a small package of seeds to feed the pigeons and they approach you from all sides. It is a strange tradition but it's part of the Venetian experience.

Summer cauliflower / Canon G 11

Image
These summer cauliflowers were at the farmer's market in Castellammare. I made an excellent pasta with them.

Two more from the Brooklyn Botanic with the Canon 5D

No comment is needed. I just love this place.
