The old harbor

Image
These photos are from the early seventies and show the old brooklyn harbor before it became rehabilitated and changed into a zone full of all sorts of trendy buildings. The black and white increases the feling of desolation.

Unusual magnolia

Image
This magnolia tree at the Brooklyn Botanic is the only one to have this unusual color. It is quite beautiful.

Old fire escape

Image
This is also an old Kodachrome scan dating from the early seventies. A fire escape on a building on Lexington Avenue in the twenties when tenement building stll existed. I like the fact that it's sort of a mini garden.

Old rural America

Image
These archival Kodachrome II scans were shot way back in 1975 in the area near Lake Placid in upstate New York. Photography has this uncanny ability to freeze moments and places in time. All in all, the colors have held well.

Morning light

Image
It's always the light. It can turn  prosaic images into an  inte restin ones.
