A nice place to go on a Saturday
The Mystic Harbor in Connecticut is a wonderful place to go on any day really, but it's a special place on Saturday because of the many events scheduled on the weekend. Enjoy.

The seaport area in 1973
The South Street Seaport is one of the most successful restorations in New York. These pictures date from the spring of a973 during the very beginning of the reconstruction. They were shot on Kodachrome II and scanned. Yes, you could park for $ 1.50 all day in some parking lots in Manhattan in 1973!
Memorial Day
This holiday was originally known as decoration day because it was a day to decorate and take care of the Civil War cemeteries. This photo is from a very small Civil War cemetery and memorial very close to where I live. During the cherry blossom season it becomes quite lovely.
